Installation View Bodenlos Exhibiton
The Brotfabrik Berlin displays from until 22nd April 2012 the exhibition “Bodenlos” (Groundless) by the photographers collective Proof9.
The photographers collective Proof9 aims to make social changes visible. The current Proof9 members are Peter Feldhaus, Anke Großklaß, Susanne Leibold, Mark van der Maarel, Bigi Moehrle, Dirk Opitz, Irina Tübbecke and David Wieck.
In their first collective exhibition Proof9 presents evidences of the growing alienation between man and our nourishing ground. Topics such as GM maize, Berliner Tafel, farmers’ protests and Intercultural gardens shows how “groundless” we all already act.
The closing event is on Saturday 21th April 2012 at 7 pm. Pictures from the opening can be seen here.

The Projektraum Fotografie in Dortmund invites to the presentation of the postcard book “Greetings from the Rheinische Strasse”. On 15th December 2011 at 6:30 pm the postcard book with photo portraits of the neighborhood by Haiko Hebig, Daniel Kurtz and Gerhard Sadrowski will be shown in the Projektraum Fotografie.
An accompanying exhibition starts from the 05th January 2012 in Projektraum Fotografie. The vernissage is on 05th at 7pm.

The exhibition “Dutch and Belgian Photobooks” at the Kominek Gallery Berlin presents a selection of photo books from Belgium and the Netherlands.
Featuring Rob Hornstra, Henk Wildschut, Pip Erken, Christian Lutz, Viviane Sassen, Jan Banning, Anouk Kruithof, Mariken Wessels, Jeroen Toirkens, Florian van Roekel, Carl De Keyzer, Geert van Kesteren, Paul Kooiker, Cuny Janssen, Niels Stomps, Stephan Vanfleteren and Wytske van Keulen.
During the exhibition you can flip thru all the books and see on the wall one representative print from each book. The opening is on 10th of December 2011 at 6 pm.

The Deutsche Fotografische Akademie presents lectures and slide shows on its conference at the Deichtorhallen Hamburg on 03th and 04th December 2011. Amongst others with Ute Behrend , Wolfgang Bellwinkel and Göran Gnaudschun..
On the 03rd December at 18:15 the popular Portfolio Walk takes place. About 20 artists, amongst others Daniel Hofer, Werner Mansholt and Valerie Schmidt will present their portfolio.

On Friday, 18.11.2011, at 19:00 clock the Japanese photographer Takashi Homma gives a lecture on “Contemporary Japanese Photography” at the Künstlervein Malkasten in Duesseldorf.
The event is part of a lecture tour in Germany. Other dates are 16./17.11.2011 in Berlin and 19./22.11.2011 in Cologne.

Portfolio Walk Deichtorhallen 2010, Photo: Kai Loges
On 03rd and 04th December 2011 the DFA conference takes place again at the Hamburger Haus der Photographie. The conference offers presentations and slide shows by members and guests and gives a forum for contemporary photography.
Now you can apply for the 05th Portfolio Walk which takes place in the Deichtorhallen in the context of the conference on 03. December 2011.
The Portfolio Walk has been established in recent years as an integral part of the DFA conference. It gives photographers the opportunity to present their work to a wide audience.

On occasion of Eva Brunner’s exhibition “Side Views” the gallery exp12 invites to an evening with the German-Austrian Street Photography collective seconds2real on 12th of February at 7pm.
Christian Reister, Guido Steenkamp, Thorsten Strasas (all from Berlin), Andreas Stelter (Minden), Mario Cuic (Munich), Siegfried Hansen (Hamburg), Natalie Opocensky (Vienna) will introduce their works and the concept of Seconds2real in an open discussion with the audience.
The detailed interview with photographer Michael Wolf, recently published at seconds2real, is a good opportunity to tune into the theme.

The gallery Kominek in Berlin invites today at 6pm to the book presentation of Thomas Kern’s “A Drug Free Land“.

In context of the Böhm/Kobayashi University the lecture “Roadside Japan” with Tsuzuki Kyoichi takes place at the Malkasten Düsseldorf on 21 Oktober 2010 at 19:30.
Two Böhm/Kobayashi University lectures from the Antifoto event in summer 2010 are now available as online video: Markus Schaden about Planespotter and Swen Buckner about Bild-Film-Foto.
