“This project (as well as most of my work) dwells in between fantasy and documentary. Even though, all the scenes are staged, they reveal a real relationship of a mother and her daughter.
Anna (the mother) and Eve (the daughter) were particularly interesting to me, when I first met them in 2005, because the boundary between the child and the adult woman was blurred to an unusually high degree.” – Viktoria Sorochinski about ‘Anna & Eve’

Album Magazine issue #2 examines the question of the singularity of photographs: how new and unseen can pictures still be today? Which artistic possibilities lie in the doubling of motifs? Which concepts play with repetition and recognition?
Album Magazine invites you to submit photographic and theoretical positions which deal with the idea of “Same/Same”:
the found similarity, the conscious doubling, the coincidental identicalness, the admiringly cribbed / copied / replicated, the supposedly similar, the photographed photographed, the hardly different, the questionable original, the revisited and the twin image.

Torsten Schumann shows us the world with a wink and a smile. A little more stringent editing would have been nice.
