Malte Wandel – Einheit, Arbeit, Wachsamkeit
Posted by (PF) at 7:00 ...

Malte Wandel relates in his thesis “Einheit, Arbeit, Wachsamkeit” to the History of ‘Madgermanes’, former Mozambican contract workers of the GDR.
Even today, 20 years after their return to Mozambique, the majority of this group is not reintegrated in any way; they live in great poverty and fight against the Mozambican government. The GDR gave up to 80% of their pay as pension to the government of Mozambique – money they should receive upon their return to Mozambique.
But the government holds them down and tries to sit out the conflict. The ‘Madgermanes’ don’t get their money from the government.
Zweites Büro, the newly established studio and showroom of Juliander Enßle, Marc Hinz and Moritz Kappen, in Dortmund shows photographs, videos and interviews by Malte Wandel (visit by appointment).

Malwine Rafalski – Holon
Posted by (PF) at 7:00 ...

“My project Holon shows the life of communities and radical living individuals, who emancipated from the consumerism and the globalisation of the western world. Lot of them are living completely self-substaining, they supply themselves through the cultivation of wholefood products and live without money, electricity and water conduit. Without a doubt, one of the most fascinating aspects is, that their lifestyle is simultaneously forwardlooking and unprogressive.” – Malwine Rafalski
Malwine Rafalski, born 1982 in Tczew / Poland, studies Photography at the University of Applied Sciences Bielefeld. She lives and works in Cologne.
