The gallery Mikro presents the exhibition “Sechs aus 48” of Tobias Vollmer. Vollmer photographs collect findings and combine them into new stories.

Tobias Vollmer, born 1975 in Munderkingen, studies communication design at the Folkwangschule Essen. He lives and works in Cologne.

Die Galerie Mikro präsentiert die Ausstellung “Sechs aus 48” von Tobias Vollmer. Vollmer sieht in seinen Bildern Fundstücke, die er zu neuen Geschichten zusammensetzt.

Tobias Vollmer, geboren 1975 in Munderkingen bei Ulm, studiert Kommunikationsdesign an der Folkwang Hochschule in Essen. Er lebt und arbeitet in Köln.

In his series “Vector Portraits” from the 90s Andrew Bush photographed driving cars in and around Los Angeles. Bush made these pictures, attaching a camera to the passenger side window of his car, while driving alongside his subjects.

Yale University Press published recently a selection of 70 photographs of the series in the Book “Drive“.

Andrew Bush, born in 1956, graduated with an MFA at the Yale University. He lives and works in Los Angeles.

In seiner Serie “Vector Portraits” aus den neunziger Jahren fotografierte Andrew Bush fahrende Autos in und um Los Angeles. Bush fotografierte im Vorbeifahren mit einer an der Beifahrerseite seines Autos angebrachten Kamera.

Yale University Press veröffentlichte jetzt eine Auswahl von 70 Bildern aus der Serie in dem Buch “Drive“.

If we go through the world, we do not notice the changes, because they are too slow and we slowly accept them. But photography can document these changes.

Wenn wir durch die Welt gehen, merken wir die Veränderungen nicht. Weil sie zu langsam sind und wir sie langsam akzeptieren. Aber die Fotografie kann diese Veränderungen dokumentieren.
