Stephen Shore’s “The Nature of Photographs” is a tool for the understanding of photography in general. Stephen Shore guides to the subject of ‘how’ to look at photographs. The book contains images from all eras of photography, from classic images by Walker Evans to more contemporary work by Thomas Struth.
On WNYC there was a nice radio feature with Stephen Shore, talking about photography and his book (found via the blog of Kevin Sisemore). The feature (20 min.) can be downloaded here as MP3.
